Our North American distribution business – MISUMI USA – is seeking a Financial Analyst at our Schaumburg, Illinois headquarters.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

As an integral member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, the Financial Analyst will learn, apply, and support the company’s primary consolidation system (Anaplan) and other business systems while performing a broad range of analyses and supporting MISUMI USA and its subsidiaries.  We offer a hybrid work schedule with three days per week onsite in our beautiful Schaumburg, IL office.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare standard financial reporting packages for internal use by collecting, analyzing, formatting, and presenting information to relevant recipients.
  • Complete standard month end close processes, including maintenance of financial reporting structure and allocation table in the Anaplan system.
  • Review and report monthly spend on capital projects.
  • Establish and maintain the investment schedule in accordance with financial policies.
  • Provide analysis on all aspects of expense and headcount planning and forecasting process.
  • Assist with data preparation and review in financial systems in accordance with policies.
  • Performs ad hoc reporting and analyses as requested.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
 
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
  • U.S. GAAP knowledge.
  • 0-2 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, including variance and trend analysis.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss analysis, reporting and financial modeling preferred.
  • Experience with planning and consolidation tools such as HFM, Anaplan, or equivalent, ERP systems, and data warehouse preferred.
  • Experience with consolidating international entries with foreign currencies preferred.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, well-organized with ability to anticipate, plan, and self-monitor workload to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to quickly grasp and communicate complex ideas.
  • Identify root causes to effectively solve problems.
  • Ability to nimbly adapt to changing business needs.
  • Effective at collaborating and building relationships with peers and business partners.
  • Excellent written/verbal analytical communications skills required.
  • Must have flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel and proficiency with MS Office Suite required; Tableau experience preferred.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

This is the lowest to highest rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
