Technical Operations Specialist
Job Responsibilities
1. Custom Quoting & Operational Execution
- Coordinate custom manufacturing quoting activities between customers and domestic/overseas manufacturing partners.
- Process multiple custom quoting opportunities in parallel while maintaining accuracy and adherence to defined processes.
- Track quoting progress in proper timelines and ensure priorities are adjusted as requirements or conditions change.
- Review customer-provided information (2D drawings, 3D models, specifications, quantities, delivery requirements) for completeness and consistency.
- Identify missing, unclear, or conflicting information and proactively coordinate with internal teams or customers to resolve gaps.
- Compare 2D drawings with 3D models, when available, and flag discrepancies for review and escalation.
- Serve as a primary coordination point to accurately communicate customer requirements to internal teams and manufacturing partners through clear written and verbal communication.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Product, Customer Service and Procurement to ensure alignment across functions.
- Coordinate with external manufacturing partners to clarify requirements, timelines, and documentation needs.
- Proceed with multiple concurrent projects and tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Organize, prioritize work effectively as conditions, urgency, or business needs change.
- Ensure deadlines and service expectations are met across all active projects.
- Support quality-related activities by working with Customer Service and Procurement Teams.
- Obtain, organize, and review quality and inspection documentation from manufacturing partners as required.
- Ensure customer requirements related to quality and delivery are clearly communicated and tracked.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in internal systems, daily logs, databases, and team documentation.
- Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, or process gaps and provide feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow established workflows while supporting to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
7. Escalation & Stakeholder Communication
- Appropriately escalate technical, quality, or non-standard issues to Engineering Team or senior stakeholders based on defined guidelines.
- Communicate status, risks, and next steps clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure issues are raised early to minimize downstream impact.
- Provide operational support to other teams during peak periods, resource constraints, or shifting business priorities.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Competency Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in operations, administrative roles, customer support, or business coordination.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Strong written communication skills, primarily via email and chat, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately.
- Ability to recognize ambiguity or missing information and appropriately escalate rather than make independent technical decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automation or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD and 2D drawings preferred.

Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 /year
