Digital Manufacturing Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Customer Support Operation
- Review customer 2D drawings and 3D models, resolve any discrepancies, and identify callouts or specifications that require manufacturing expertise or attention.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by clearly communicating customer requirements such as product specifications and delivery schedule to backend manufacturing.
- Monitor system availability and data receipt to maintain stable service delivery.
- Process custom quoting opportunities between customers and manufacturers (domestic and overseas) to capture new business and support existing business.
- Support customers with system operation and follow up with auto-quote error customers as well as quoted customers on their projects.
- Promote and educate customers including design and mechanical engineers, buyers, or other professional and technical personnel on the Service to increase sales.
- Partner with Sourcing, Customer Service, and Procurement on quality claims, and obtain and review quality inspection documents from manufacturing as needed.
Product Development
- Conduct market and customer research including surveys and data analysis related to product development; determine price competitiveness, delivery time, and whether products match customer demand.
- Expand Digital Manufacturing capabilities to increase product offerings, revenue, and market share in new growth sectors.
- Review market and business analyses of Digital Manufacturing drawing requirements to develop new product and capability needs.
- Efficiently manage development projects collaboratively across multiple departments to ensure products are completed on time and meet all quality standards.
- Implement strategic initiatives quickly and effectively, create project timelines, goals, and countermeasures, track and report KPI’s.
- Manage costs to increase the profitability of Digital Manufacturing products.
- Provide accurate data for management to assist with regular and special reporting related to team performance.
- Identify areas where improvement in efficiency or outcome is possible and contribute to solutions.
- Promote team success by assisting team members with large or complex requests.
- Provide internal and external technical design support and education for products. including materials, surface finishes, fits, tolerances, and sizing.
- Support business process standardization and improvement.
- Travel as required.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Automation, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment and quality inspection tools
- Hands-on experience sizing and specifying industrial automation components.
- Print manufacturing analysis experience
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD, MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and/or VBA a plus.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 /year
