The Supplier Relationship Manager is an exceptional people and operations leader who leverages strong proficiency in all aspects of supplier relationships – coordination, management, problem solving, strategy development, scheduling, analyzing, and planning – to meet and exceed business and operational goals.  The Supplier Manager’s extensive experience and sound judgment has resulted in meaningful cost reductions and process improvements.  This role skillfully directs and guides others and enables their ongoing development.  This role works across departments to drive improvements to the customers’ and suppliers’ MISUMI experience.  
  • Oversee overall supply chain operations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to team and individual performance.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term cost reduction strategies and tactics.
  • Ensure suppliers timely meet all requirements and resolve any quality issues.
  • Reduce and continuously improve the cost and delivery of goods procured.
  • Monitor the quality, delivery, and level of customer service of each supplier.
  • Improve performance and resolve any problems with suppliers.
  • Improve supplier management, qualification, and ordering process.
  • Support custom quotes and special requests for key accounts.
  • Analyze sales data to determine appropriate inventory level for items stocked at QCT.  Reduce out of stock ratio by changing reorder level every month.
  • Maintain and add all relevant product data to internal systems.
  • Ensure predetermined inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
  • Provide leadership in managing the introduction and approval of stocked SKUs.
  • Manage, educate, and communicate deadstock issues to Business Unit leaders.
  • Manage and improve the invoice process.
  • Train/mentor team members and instill a continuous improvement mindset
  • Promote cross-departmental activities that improve the customer experience.
  • Travel as required, typically less than 10%.
  • All other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills.
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Financial and numerical skills with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and Tableau
  • Minimum of three (3) years purchasing and stock management experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is preferred.
